Baby Shower Games Pack: 9 Printable Games With an Answer Key

I have hosted three baby showers, and the part that always worried me was the middle hour. The gifts are opened, the food is mostly eaten, and the room needs something to do. A few easy games fill that hour and make everyone laugh.

This pack has nine game sheets and a host answer key, so you can run the whole shower from one PDF. Everything prints on plain paper except the card pages, which are better on cardstock.

What is inside

• Baby word scramble: 15 scrambled baby words
• Baby shower bingo: 4 sheets, 8 different 5 by 5 cards with a free middle square
• Guess the price: 12 baby essentials and a guess line for each
• Nursery rhyme quiz: 15 fill-in-the-blank lines
• Wishes for baby cards, 4 per page
• Advice cards for the new parents, 6 per page
• A host answer key
• Two color editions: Berry and Gold, and Sage and Blush

Three games from the pack

• Word scramble: BOTTLE becomes L B E T O T, and PACIFIER becomes I E P A I C F R. Guests race to unscramble all 15, and the answers are on the key.
• Nursery rhyme quiz: Twinkle, twinkle, little ____ . Humpty Dumpty sat on a ____ . Mary had a little ____ . Simple, and older relatives usually win.
• Baby bingo: guests mark the gifts the mom-to-be opens, like Swaddle, Sound machine or Teether. First to five in a row calls out BABY.

How to run the shower

Print one scramble, one quiz and one price sheet per guest, then bingo cards from sheets A to D. Put pens or small pencils on the table. For the card pages, cut on the dashed lines and set a stack of Wishes for Baby cards and Advice cards in a basket. The parents will keep those long after the diapers are gone.

The guess the price sheet uses typical US shelf prices for the answer key. Prices change by store and year, so peek at a receipt if you want to confirm them for your own area.

Why it works

Every sheet has a clear job and a clear winner, so nobody has to explain the rules. Print it the night before, set it out with the favors, and enjoy the party.

A few hosting tips

Time each game to about ten minutes, and keep the answer key face down next to you. Give small prizes: a candle, a pack of tea, a sleeve of cookies. If your guest list is large, print two copies of each bingo sheet and mix the cards so no two neighbors hold the same one. Collect the Wishes for Baby and Advice cards in a box and hand them to the parents at the end, with a pen on the table so guests can finish theirs while they eat.
